I know I don’t have to tell you that the purpose of your web site is to be visited and viewed in all its glory and to ultimately result in the selling of either your product or a service. After all you have put a lot into your web site, endless hours to make sure the design is great, the sales letter in place, etc. But unfortunately, with out targeted traffic this ultimate goal is going to fall way short of success.

Simply put with any traffic, comes a potential customer. But with targeted traffic you are reaching someone that is specifically interested in what you have to offer. Therefore target traffic can increase your web site’s conversion rate by a huge percentage.

This is the reason why e-commerce sites spend so much effort and money to laser target certain groups of people and drive them to their site to showcase their services and products. They know that precision marketing is essential so they can count on the fact that most if not all the traffic they generate to their site consists of probable customers not just a potential one.

There is no better way online to reach this very goal than through the use of Google Adwords advertising. Customers come to you; they find you via the most popular search engine in the world. It turns things around giving them the feeling; they are coming to you and not you seeking them out. And the beauty of this is it is basically on auto-pilot once set up correctly, with the exception of occasional tweaking of the ads you have placed.

Right now, there is no other advertising scheme that would be worth every cent you spend than using Google’s Adwords. The surge in popularity of Google’s Adwords is very evident as you can see from so many sites getting in on this from both placing the ads on their web sites to purchasing themselves.

Its common business knowledge, that if you want to make money, you have to spend money. One good way of spending money for business gain is through advertising. Advertising brings in the people because through advertising, they know that there is such a company or product in existence. With the right type of advertising, you can see the spurt of traffic growth to your site. With a high volume of traffic, even if only a small portion or percentage turns out to be buying customers it is still a good average of profit generating income.

In using Google’s Adwords, you can pay based on popular keywords (put in the highest bid for your chosen keywords) or even go the budget route and choose to only spend so much per day. They have no set rules on how much you have to spend. It is one of the simplest, yet most powerful advertising systems to use on the Internet to date.

Each time a person does a search in Google, the keyword or keywords used, generate ads in the side of Google which are generated by the keywords their customers have assigned for their ads.

This method laser targets the traffic you get to your web site. Paying Google for this ad scheme ensures that your target group of people sees your ads. Your ads then entice them to click to your web site where they find what they were searching for.

Also aside from Google, you can also be featured in their other search networks, these includes sites like, AskJeeves, AOL Search and Netscape. These sites also show Adwords ads that react to searches done by visitors.

There are also content networks, non-search engine sites that feature Google Adwords, which will also carry your ads. But this is subjected to the niche the site features. Your chosen keywords will determine which content network shall feature your ad.

The frequency of your ad will be determined by your allowed budget. The bigger the budget the more targeted traffic you will receive.

By laser targeting the traffic to your web site you will increase converting your traffic to buying customers much faster than just blasting out un-targeted with your advertising.

There are many online Internet tools that can help you in choosing keywords and keyword phrases that are currently in demand that could help drive laser targeted traffic to your site. Your Google Adwords account back office already provides many useful tools for maximizing your results. However to be most successful you must do all you can to keep these keywords as true to your web site as possible. The better match of keywords to your services and products the higher your sales will be.

By being true with the keywords you choose you will ensure that every click on your ad is a highly probable customer that is precisely looking for and interested in what you have to offer.

Many Internet based business owners have generated very good money by putting a large amount of their advertising budgets into the Google Adwords program. The benefits are high with the cost relatively justifiable.
